A summary of the history of Acacia Initiatives

Founded in 2020 in Mogadishu, Somalia, Acacia Initiatives (AI) became an officially registered non-profit organization in 2022. Over the years, we have built a reputable presence as a nonpartisan and non-governmental entity committed to social justice, focusing on empowering disadvantage communities, youth and women through research, education, and capacity building.

Since our inception, Acacia Initiatives (AI) has made significant strides in advocating for youth and women’s rights. Through comprehensive education and capacity-building programs, we have empowered countless individuals to participate actively in their communities, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are addressed.

EU-Africa programmers

We represent the forefront of innovation by fostering a Pan-European open-innovation ecosystem that includes leading European institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, universities, and research organizations. Within this collaborative environment, students, researchers, engineers, business developers, and investors work together to tackle the technological, talent, skills, business, and capital requirements essential for digital entrepreneurship.

We collaborate with both startups and established enterprises to promote innovation and growth. Our Business and Entrepreneur Partnerships team acts as your access point to our internationally acclaimed resources.
